Fun facts
- The words Ostarun and Eostron and their modern equals Ostern and Easter all originate from the old German word "austron," which means East. This refers to the returning or coming of the sun in the east.
- The first young hares are there because they are one of the first young animals that you see; they are associated with fertility. In the legends, the hare is a bird that gets turned into a hare to find back her eggs. This legend was born because both eggs and hares were associated with fertility. Even in China, eggs are painted as a custom.
